I wanted to keep post for this project simple. I was asked to help brand and market the first ever Detroit Design Festival, and was intricately involved in every aspect of the visual presentation to partners, funders and the public.
The video below is one of my most favorite memories from this project. As we were nearing production of the sidewalk way-finding and promotional applications, we had the idea that we should memorialize the process of placing the markers. We simply asked an artist to film the installation of these graphics around town and he came back with this beautiful piece of art. The artist is Charlie Kelly, and his piece ended up embodying the spirit of the festival and the heart of the branding.
Video produced, directed and conceived by Charlie Kelly.
